Bulletins on checkpoints

The Luohu and Huanggang
checkpoints in Shenzhen and the Gongbei checkpoint in Zhuhai are being described
as "handling the maximum capacity" of travellers in the daily "Hong Kong and
Macao tour information bulletin" issued by the Guangdong Tourism Bureau.
The bulletin will be published in major newspapers in Guangdong throughout
the National Day holiday week.
Some 300,000 Guangdong residents are expected to visit Hong Kong and Macao
during the holiday period as individuals.
For holiday-makers choosing to stay within the province, Zhaoqing, Xiqiao
Mountain in Foshan, and Heyuan are expected to be the hottest destinations,
followed by river rafting trips and beach resorts.
Prices of packaged tours within the province have risen by 20 per cent on
average, according to Yangcheng Evening News.
