Maglev wins 'world's fastest commercial train'

Shanghai's maglev train will
be included in the Guinness World Book of Records as the fastest commercially
operating train in the world, Shanghai Morning Post reports.
The award ceremony will be held in Beijing on December 10, according to the
Shanghai Maglev Development Co Ltd.
It takes just 7 minutes, 20 seconds for the maglev to runs the line's full
30-kilometre distance from Longyang Lu Station to Pudong International Airport.
Since the end of last year when the train began trial runs, the line has
carried more than 20,000 passengers.
