Reviewing the development of China-Bangladesh ties over the past 30years, Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said the two countries have seen enhanced political trust with frequent high-level visits.

In April this year, the two countries announced to forge a comprehensive cooperative partnership during Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit to Bangladesh and the two nations also reached consensus on improving friendly exchanges and cooperation.

Jia said China is willing to work with Bangladesh to implement the consensus, expand bilateral mutual-beneficial cooperation especially on economy and trade to boost the development of China-Bangladesh friendly cooperation.

Jia also said China appreciates Bangladesh's firm support to China on the issues of Taiwan, Tibet and the human rights.

Rahman said the Bangladeshi government and people value their relations with China and support China's principle and stance on the issues of Taiwan and Tibet.

He said Bangladesh is willing to develop bilateral mutual-beneficial cooperation with China and enrich the China-Bangladesh comprehensive cooperative partnership.

He also said that Bangladesh wants to keep close cooperation with China on the key international and regional issues to jointly maintain the interests of the developing countries.
