Feifei received a food hamper 當(dāng)名詞使用時(shí)的意思是裝食品的籃子 for Christmas.
But the verb 'hamper' means something quite different!
e.g. The rescue progress was hampered by the bad weather.
The verb 'hinder' has a similar meaning to 'hamper'.
