It sounds like China's "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" Cui Jian was innocently walking out of his apartment, accompanied by his daughter, when a paparazzo snapped pictures of the pair.

The creative "reporter" claimed he then "interviewed" the youngster and wrote that she was a 21-year-old student at Beijing Dance Academy, and was originally from Chongqing.

This sparked a rumor that buzzed around the Internet claiming that "Old Cui" took advantage of his experience, fame and money to lure a young lady into his web, according to Sohu.com.

Absolutely untrue, said Cui's manager: "These allegations are nonsense. The person in the photo is Cui's daughter. We have sent a notice to the media that originally published it and we might take legal action."

Cui is married and has a daughter who is about 17 years old.

Meanwhile, 43-year-old actress Jiang Shan's romantic interest in 28-year-old Zhang Bo has got media like Sina.com buzzing, calling them the "old sister, younger brother love match".

Unnamed netizens said they saw the pair holding hands at a cinema and further claimed Zhang held his paramour by the waist.

"Certainly they seemed to be more than just good friends," one netizen was quoted as saying.

A Guangzhou Daily reporter dialed up Zhang for a reaction but was refused; while Jiang's manager was quoted as saying: "We don't know their personal lives."

Dee Hsu, the popular TV host of Here Comes Kangxi has got into a battle of words with her former BFF (best friend forever) Aya.

Hsu, who co-hosted the 21st Golden Melody Awards over the weekend, made some witty but slightly disparaging comments about Aya's vocal performance.

The singer responded by telling the world in her microblog that she wasn't happy about it and twitted: "If a person is not tolerant, is that person a friend?"
