Located in Haocheng Town of Guzhen County, the ancient battlefield is 40 km from Bengbu City.
There are some ten famous tourist attractions, including the Ancient Gaixia Battlefield, the Statue of Xiang Yu Bidding Farewell to His Concubine, the ancient wells bridges, group tombs of the Han Dynasty and the Folklore Park of the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220).
The Bawang city in the scenic area used to be where Xiang Yu (232-202 BC), a prominent general during the fall of the Qin Dynasty, and commonly known by his self-styled title of Xichu Bawang, and his troops were stationed. Built beside the Tuohe River it was convenient for troops to defend and withdraw.
Therefore, it was a post of military importance. With a history of more than 2,000 years, the earthen city walls, several meters high and several km long, are still standing. The moat has also been well preserved.
