To form a green road system, Shushan forest park in Hefei, Anhui province, will build a road for bicycle riding that will allow tourists to appreciate the beautiful scenery in the forest park, Anhuinews.com reported on August 1.
The forest park has 90 different kinds of bicycles. The area west of Fenglin Road has been open for bicycles since cars were recently forbidden. The area has three ring roads measuring 7.5 kilometers, 4 kilometers and 2 kilometers, respectively.
An official in charge said that they have finished the bidding process for a renewal project in the forest park. Besides the road system, more bicycle racks will be built to enable visitors to rent bikes easily.
There are other areas in Hefei with green bike roads. The lakeside wetland forest park has the first integrated three-level green road system throughout the province measuring 28 kilometers. In addition, the construction of green roads in several scenic areas are currently in progress.
