From Jan 22-23, Kunshan held an interactive campaign for tourism promotion in the city of Ma’anshan, Anhui province. Kunshan’s tourist attractions, travel agencies and star hotels cooperated with Ma’anshan’s travel agencies to encourage local citizens to visit Kunshan during Spring Festival.
After enforcement of the new Tourism Law, tour groups are becoming less popular, while independent travelers continue to increase. The two cities aim to enhance cooperation in tourism to achieve “win-win results” with preferential policies. Both sides will share tourism resources with each other.
During the two days, both parties promoted their own tourism products and resources. Through a promotional film screening and interactions, Kunshan vividly displayed its diversified tourism products and tour routes, characterized by its water towns featuring both traditional and modern elements. In addition, Kunshan recommended six 48-hour tour routes covering major scenic spots to help visitors better experience the wonders of Kunshan.
Currently, Ma’anshan has two 4A tourist attractions and three 3A tourist attractions. It has combined tourism with culture to promote its tour routes, themed around “mountains, forests and spas.”
The tourism bureaus from the two cities will strengthen cooperation of the tourism industry to better meet consumers’ expectations.
