Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, recently announced a new tourism map for its purple line planning (culture relic protection sites).
"280 culture relic sites are marked on the map as part of the overall tourism development plan of Chaohu lake, namely 'two cores and four districts'," said a source from the Hefei Urban Planning Bureau.
The two cores are its historical city center and the ecological leisure tourism around Chaohu lake.
Four districts include Huai army (1862-1900) integration between culture and natural scenery, east city of red culture eco-tourism area, north city of eco-leisure experience zone and south city of mountain health spa resort.
In addition, seven key protected characteristic blocks are also drawn on the map. They are the traditional street in Sanhe, Feixi county, historical and cultural blocks in West Gangwan, Lujiang county, the cultural street of the Republic of China (1912-1949) in Hefei, the old times cultural street of Luzhou , Wuhu Road in Hefei, and Tangchi, Tongyang and Zhegao old streets in Chaohu city.
