Founded in 2008, Loongson Technology Corp Ltd, is the designer of the Loongson CPU. The Loongson CPU series include Loongson series 1, series 2, and series 3. Loongson Series 1 is designed for industry control, data collection and consumer electronics. Series 2 is for PCs and terminals while series 3 is for high performance computers and low power consumption servers. The company also provides solutions for customers using Loongson technology.
Headquartered in Beijing, Loongson Technology has set up three subsidiaries in Guangzhou, Chongqing and Changsha. The Loongson Technology Park will become the research and development (R&D) base for Loongson. It covers more than 74,000 square meters and is located in north Beijing.
Loongson Technology's R&D team consists of high talented young scholars. Among its 300 staff, 30 percent have doctorate degree and 40 percent have master's degree. They have contributed to series of national key projects in the design of CPU. The company dedicates itself to turning Loongson technology into products that meet the needs of customers while providing complete after-sale services.
