DRC President Li Wei visits the Netherlands, France and Japan

From October 23rd to November 3rd, a delegation headed by DRC President Mr. Li Wei visited the Netherlands, France and Japan, at the invitation of Royal Dutch Shell, French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and Japan-China Association for Exchanges of Economic Knowledge. In the Netherlands, the delegation visited the Shell Group Headquarters and participated in the workshop on DRC-Shell joint research project. President Li met with Mr. Maxime Verhagen, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation to exchange views on innovation, emerging industrial sectors and the cooperation between the two countries and met with Mr. Piet Hein Donner, Minister of Interior and Kingdom Relations to learn about the social housing policies of the Netherlands. In France, the delegation attended the reception jointly hosted by Mr. Giscard d’Estaing, former French President and President of the Segalen Foundation and Mr. Pierre-Antoine Gailly, President of the Paris Chamber of Commerce. The delegation had discussions with the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and the Ministry of Eco-Sustainable Development, Transportation and Housing on the topics of the European economy, debt crisis, energy policies, new energy strategies, emerging industrial sectors and re-industrialization strategies. P Li also met with Mr. Christian de Boissieu, Chairman of the French Council of Economic Analysis to exchange views on potential cooperation between the two institutions. The delegation visited Schnrider Electric, PSA Peugeot Citro?n and ALSTOM to learn about the latest developments of energy efficiency management, electric vehicles and new energy sectors. In Cadarache of France, the delegation met with officials from ITER and CEA to exchange views on nuclear energy development and safety supervision. In Japan, the delegation participated in the 31st Session of China-Japan Symposium of Economic Knowledge Exchanges and visited a social housing community and a nursing home for seniors.The DRC delegation members included Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of the International Cooperation Department, Dr. Feng Fei, Director General, Research Department of Industrial Economy, Dr. Zhao Jinping, Deputy Director General, Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Ms Jiang Xiheng, Division Director, International Cooperation Department. and Mr. Tao Pingsheng, Deputy Division Director of the General Office.
