Abstract：
Propelled by the constant and fast economic growth and strong demand, the consumer price in the first quarter of 2003 witnessed a rally and a steady rise. The focus of the present policy and relevant measures should rest on maintaining the constant growth of social demand, changing the situation in which the supply of consumer goods exceeds demand, checking the abnormal overheating business activity and keeping the basic balance between supply and demand in the market.
