Pingnan residents receive funds to cover medical treatment

Over the last three years, Pingnan county has participated in the distribution of 350,0000 yuan from the Fujian Red Cross to help cover the medical costs of 342 local residents and, on Jan 9, Liu Ganjin, from Tanghou village, received 22517 yuan.

The initiative involves financing diseases – such as some types of cancers, including leukemia, and heart disease. The Pingnan Red Cross has played a crucial role in organizing the distribution of the funds, under the guidance of the Fujian Red Cross and the Department of Civil Affairs, and has thus helped many low-income families, retired military personnel and severely disabled people.
