1. Coastal resort

The?zone will optimize the scenic spots' layout and speed up construction of the coastal entertainment facility.

Major distinctive resorts are located at Tannan Bay and Haitan Bay. Marine-eroded sightseeing areas include the Shi Pai Yang and Fairy Well. Ecological areas include Junshan Mountain and Nanzhai Mountain. There are also marine sport areas such as Changjiang Ao and Shanqi Ao marine entertainment area.

2. Cultural tourism

Pingtan strives to preserve cultural heritages with distinct local features, such as the traditional habitats of the Austronesian family from the South Pacific, an ancient culture living in Fujian province. It will also produce cultural souvenirs. .

Pingtan has also taken action to organize more cross-Straits cultural and tourism activities, such as the Mazu offering ritual, cross-Straits music festivals, sailing boat (plate) contest and Taiwan gourmet festival.

3. Leisure and health care tourism

Pingtan plans to combine tourism with health-care culture to develop diversified high-end tourism products for medical care, leisure and health care.

It will also construct large-scaled shopping malls, yacht clubs and Taiwan boutique shopping streets to attract more tourists.
