Guizhou has promulgated the Interim Procedure of Funding Private-Owned Nursing Homes to regulate private-owned nursing home endowments and promote the construction of the elderly health care service system in Guizhou.
In accordance with the regulation, the government endowment should be given on a one-time basis. Privately-owned nursing homes should be established and operated according to laws and regulations. Each bed will be endowed with 3,000 yuan ($481.70) and the money will be paid over three years with an annual audit.
For stay-at-home nursing services, each bed will be endowed with 2,000 yuan and the money will be paid over two years with an annual audit. As for operation subsidies, each bed can be endowed with no less than 200 yuan every year on average.
