Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has become increasingly popular among visitors from all over the world, thanks to its efforts to promote an all-for one tourism development strategy in recent years.

Due to its constant commitment to the strategy, natural landscapes have become hot tourism destinations and as a result, locals have increased their incomes. A new sample of its tourism development strategy featuring the integration between city and country has taken shape in the district.
Xiaobaituo village in Huaxi was once a poverty-stricken area. Though it boasts a lush ecological environment and an advantageous geographic location, the local economy developed very slowly due to a lack of effective and innovative management plans.
Now, through the cooperation among farmers' cooperatives, village group companies, and town-level platforms, professional asset management has turned the village into a tourism basin based on all-for-one tourism. Villagers there now can earn at least 10,000 yuan ($1,453) every year.
In February 2016, Huaxi was listed in the first batch of National All-for-one Tourism Demonstration Areas, and its effort was praised by city government officials, who then implemented a couple to policies to help Huaxi attract more talents in tourism development.

Starting from 2017, the district has allocated at least 30 million yuan to products branding and industrial support annually, and the fund is expected to increase at a 10 percent rate each year.
A 60-kilometer greenway has been built connecting the main scenic spots in south and north Huaxi. By adopting a "tourism+" strategy and utilizing a 450 million yuan investment, the Xinanshijin rural tourism demonstration belt has provided more than 20,000 jobs for locals.

Huaxi also debuted Guizhou's first all-for-one tourism media alliance to promote its tourism brands on diversified platforms, including CCTV, People's Daily official website, and Douyin.
Its public service system has been improved to provide more convenience to visitors by investing 10.65 billion yuan and completing the 49.99-kilometer long urban main street that connects tourism destinations with airports and railway stations.
In 2018, the district made 7.09 billion yuan ($5.39 billion) in tourism revenue, a year-on-year increase of 38.3 percent. It attracted 37.10 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 27.69 percent.
