Dusseldorf, the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, held an economic and trade conference for China’s Jiangsu province that brought 39 signed investment contracts worth 2 billion yuan.

The business scopes involved in the contracts include electronics and information, equipment manufacturing, medicine, textile process, new energy and software.

“Jiangsu province will enhance the investment environment along the coast and reduce commercial costs for the partners overseas,” said Zhao Kezhi, Executive Vice Governor of East China’s Jiangsu province. “We will pour more assets in the investment toward other countries, which is beneficial to form a win-win relationship.”
Zhao led the Jiangsu provincial economic and trade representative group taking part in the event, which welcomed about 400 guests from China and European countries, half of whom were from European enterprises.
Zhang Jianwen, Vice Director of the managing committee, attended the conference on behalf of Kunshan’s Huaqiao Economic Development Zone. He succeeded in signing an investment contract with French Benying Co Ltd worth 95 million dollars.
According to the contract, French Benying Co Ltd will set up Benying (Kunshan) Auto Spare Parts Co Ltd with a registered capital of 49.8 million dollars. The company is mainly engaged in the import and export of spare car parts, including power batteries, brake pump assembly, drive-axle assembly and automatic gear-boxes.
The economic and trade conference was organized by the China Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Trade Office in Europe, a non-profit organization established by the Jiangsu Provincial Government in 1996 in Duesseldorf, in cooperation with its partner - the state of North Rhine- Westphalia.
The office’s main task is to promote trade, investment and technological cooperation between the enterprises of Jiangsu province and Europe. In addition to the headquarters in Dusseldorf, there are representative offices established in Paris, France, Chelmsford, UK, Tilburg, the Netherlands and Stockholm, Sweden.
