Construction site of the prefabrication of the first box girder for the second bidding section of the Hankou-Xiaogan Intercity Railway
On May 23, 2010, CGGC held a celebration ceremony for the prefabrication of the first box girder for the second bidding section of the Hankou-Xiaogan Intercity Railway on the construction site. This marks CGGC’s big stride towards the railway construction area; CGGC has formally entered the core area of the railway construction technologies, and gained the capacity to undertake the construction of an entire railway project.
As part of the Wuhan intercity railway network, the Hankou-Xiaogan Intercity Railway lies at the intersection between the Wuhan-Danjiangkou Railway and the Hankou-Shiyan Expressway. This project is of great importance to promote the integration of the urban traffic and the regional economic development. The section undertaken by CGGC is 21.861km in length.
The first box girder is constructed by CGGC No 5 Engineering Co. Among the construction of the second bidding section of the Hankou-Xiaogan Intercity Railway, the CGGC subsidiary has undertaken the entire construction of the railway section, and the major work includes 368 simple box girders on both lines and the pavement of the 61km rail.
