CGGC seeks greater international business development by entering Australia
Chinese and Australian leaders witness the signing ceremony
On June 21, 2010, Nie Kai, vice president of CGGC, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of CGGC with Australia's FMG on expanding the annual output of FMG's Chichester mine district from 55 million tons to 95 million tons.
The signing ceremony was jointly witnessed by Xi Jinping, Vice President of China, and Kevin Rudd, Premier of Australia.

The cooperation agreement was signed at the signing ceremony for the China-Australia agreement on investment, energy, resource and economic cooperation. FMG, the iron ore supplier ranking the fourth in the world and third in Australia, plans to expand the annual output of its Chichester mine district in the western Australia from 55 million tons to 95 million tons. CGGC will consult and cooperate with FGM over the implementation and equipment purchase in relation to the expansion project of the mine district.
Signing of the cooperation agreement has received much attention from relevant government departments and media in both countries, and was reported by the Wall Street Journal, Sky News and major media in Australia.
During the stay in Australia, Nie Kai also attended the China-Australia economic and trade forum, and held a talk with major executives of FMG.
