CGGC signs an EPC contract with Houay Lamphan Gnai Downstream Hydropower Company of Laos |
On April 21 an EPC contract was signed in Vientiane by and between CGGC and the Houay Lamphan Gnai Downstream Hydropower Company of Laos for the Houay Lamphan Gnai Downstream Hydropower Station. The contract signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by the Vice Minister of Energy and Mines of Laos, the General Manager of Lao National Power Corporation and the responsible person of Laos Company of CGGC.
Located in the Muang Lamam region of Sekong Province, Laos, the project to be built is a hydroelectric station at dam-toe mainly intended for power generation with a total installed capacity of 2*7.5MW. Scheduled to be completed in 36 months, main construction works include design, procurement, construction and commissioning associated with the dam, the power house, the 115kv transmission lines and the owner's office and living facilities. When completed, the project will ensure local power supply, attract more investment into the region and improve the living conditions of the local people.
