"Dinosaur Explores the Sea", a scenic spot on the east coast of Golden Pebble Beach in Dalian, Liaoning province, was selected as one of the 40 most beautiful places to visit in China by CNN, Dalian Golden Pebble Beach National Resort said on Tuesday.

A giant rock, in the shape of a dinosaur, is located on the east coast of Golden Pebble Beach in Dalian, a port city of Northeast China's Liaoning province.

A group of six Canadian reporters visited the "40-meter-high rock named 'Dinosaur Explores the Sea’" at Golden Pebble Beach on March 26. They were deeply impressed by the wonderful natural and cultural environment.

"They loved the sea, the sunshine and the beach, and they showed special preference to these ancient rock formations," said a principal with Golden Pebble Beach National Resort.

The 40 beautiful places in China also include Mount Huangshan in Anhui, Mount Wuyi in Fujian, and Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou.
