Journalists and tourists visited Xianling Mausoleum in Zhongxiang county of Jingmen city, in central China’s Hubei province, on July 23, as part of a campaign focused on engaging media in Jingmen’s efforts to become known as "China's Agricultural Valley.”

Located at Chunde Mountain, 7.5 kilometers northeast of Zhongxiang county, the mausoleum is the final resting place of Zhu Youyuan and his wife, the parents of Emperor Shizong of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

Xianling Mausoleum is the biggest single tomb of all the imperial mausoleums of the Ming Dynasty and it is well preserved, even after 500 years of trials and tribulations.

According to legend, when the mausoleum was completed, Emperor Shizong led all civil and military ministers to worship at the site on the third day of the third month in the Chinese lunar calendar. The custom has been passed from generation to generation, and many visitors go to Xianling Mausoleum on the third day of the third month every year, in the hope that the visit will bring them good luck.

Hubei has vowed to support Jingmen in its campaign, which started on July 22 and aims to promote the valley and also the development of Jingmen.
