Daowu Moutain, located in Liuyang city of Changsha City, has a long history and culture with affluent natural scenery. The densest old-pine clusters in central south China grow and the thousand-year temple, Xinghua Temple stands there. Together with the 576-meter-high alpine lakes, they are considered to be the three wonders of the Daowu Mountain. In Daowu Moutain, tourists can appreciate different sceneries in different seasons, namely, misty rain in spring, high waterfall in summer, floating clouds and fog in autumn and snow in winter. The different sceneries in four seasons are acclaimed as the four wonders of Daowu Mountain.
In recent years, the local government has sought to revive the region's long tradition in porcelain making and boost local industry with the cultural influence of ancient Tongguan kilns, which have a history of 1,200 years.
