The economic performance of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, showed steady growth during the first half of 2017, with the city’s GDP hitting 185.37 billion yuan ($27.5 billion), according to the statistics bureau of Baotou.

The figure represented year-on-year growth of 7.5 percent, 0.6 percentage points higher than the national average and 0.9 percentage points higher than the average for the autonomous region.

The added value of primary, secondary and tertiary industry took up 0.5 percent, 48.6 percent and 50.9 percent of GDP respectively.
