Zhangjiagang, a port city in East Chian's Jiangsu province, held an intelligent manufacturing promotion conference on April 11 to support the upgrading of manufacturing.

Huang Ji, the mayor of Zhangjiagang, stressed the importance of promoting intelligent manufacturing. He said enterprises should accelerate the pace of intelligent transformation and achieve high-quality development goals.

Lu Chongmin, the deputy mayor of Zhangjiagang, pointed out that the government should strengthen policy publicity to inspire initiative in the enterprises and roll out advanced planning. Enterprises can utilize the intelligent manufacturing service platform to deal with practical problems. Tao Yanbin, the director of Zhangjiagang’s municipal economic trust committee, interpreted the "Three-year action plan for intelligent manufacturing" in terms of the main points, background, and supportive policies.

Some outstanding enterprises in national intelligent manufacturing projects were also awarded at the conference.
