A launch ceremony for the establishment of the Leyu Overseas Chinese Innovation Exchange Center was held in Zhangjiagang's Leyu town on May 22.

The center aims to provide an exchange platform for overseas Chinese in Leyu town. It has introduced more than 20 high-tech projects including new energy cars, new materials and air cushion conveyers and brought in 24 talents to help its development.

Xia Lixin, secretary of the Party committee of Leyu town, pointed out that Leyu town had made a great effort to attract overseas talents in recent years. The government has launched a series of favorable policies to lure high-tech cutting-edge individuals and promote local economic development.

It is expected that the center will further promote the development of Zhangjiagang city's foreign trade.

More than 200 departmental representatives took part in the launch ceremony.
