In the morning of March 16, seven projects were inaugurated to unveil the first "project construction week" of Lingang industrial park this year.
Five of the seven projects come from processing industrial sector. Baijie (Hong Kong) International Industry Co., Ltd., has invested 260 million yuan to construct a project to produce all colors of stainless steel plates and section bars. Canada Heli Stainless Steal Co., Ltd., has invested 75 million yuan to construct a project of stainless steel kitchen utensils and doors and windows. Shenyang Liantong Technology and Liaoning Solar Energy Application Technology Research Center jointly invest 45 million yuan to produce stainless steel water treatment facilities and solar water heaters. Jiangsu Yancheng Jiacheng Machinery Co., Ltd., has invested 75 million yuan to produce stainless steel papermaking equipment. Zhejiang Henyang Shipping Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., has invested 35 million yuan to construct ship stainless steel doors and windows, and ship stainless steel flange plates. The five industrial processing projects are all based on the stainless steel cold rolling project of Benxi Iron and Steel. When the projects are completed, they will consume 200,000 tons cold-rolled sheets annually from the first stage project of the Benxi Iron and Steel stainless steel project, , with an annual output of 2 billion yuan. They will also play an important role in cultivating new concentrated production in the Lingang industrial park.
The New Town Citizen Square, the sixth project, comprises the Administrative Square, Commercial Square, and Wanhua square, totaling 380,000 square meters. When completed, it will serve as a complex for greenery, sightseeing and entertainment. This large-scale infrastructure project is of great significance to arrange the pattern and explore development potentials of the new town. The golden riverside real estate project, the seventh project, involves 270 million yuan investment in a floor space of 66,700 square meters and building area of 148,550 square meters. It will be an urban residential quarter with unique south China riverside features integrating villas and fashionable small high-rise residential buildings.
Zhao Liansheng, vice-mayor, said at the opening ceremony that it was an unusual event to start seven projects in a day in the city. These projects will contribute to speeding up development of the new town and industrial park. Along with the construction of the new Yalu River Bridge and development in neighboring areas, the city's new town and industrial park will enjoy greater popularity and influences and become a favorite for domestic and overseas investors.
