In the first quarter of 2012, many large industrial, business and infrastructure projects have begun construction in Dandong, Liaoning province.
The Hengtong graphite deep processing project, with a total investment of one billion yuan ($159 million) has planned to start in Kuandian, Dandong. The Haide-Pace paper film production line project has planned to start construction in April.
The Ruiying car parts and mold production processing project has also already completed its preparation work.
Wanda city square project with 8 billion yuan of investment is being relocated. This project includes a shopping mall, five-star hotels, high-end office buildings and top grade residential areas. The construction will commence this March.
The Dandong International Exhibition Center project and a cartoon town that is being developed by the Dalian Soft Technology Development Co Ltd will also start in March.
In terms of infrastructure construction projects, the Jinshan sewage treatment is scheduled to open. It is a sewage treatment plant with a daily wastewater treatment capacity of 30 thousand cubic meters and has an investment of 91.42 million yuan for its first phase in Dandong.
In terms of the Jinshui River regulation project, six rubber dams and six bridges are going to be built on the river course, starting this March. The infrastructure renovation project of the old city of Gushan in Dandong will also begin in March 2012 and has a planned investment of 53 million yuan.
