The promotion work of the first China-DPRK Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Expo is going on smoothly, a representative of the Dandong Council for the Promotion of International Trade said.
The Expo was originally scheduled to cover 10, 000 square meters with 500 booths. Chinese enterprises have already booked 400 booths. The Expo committee added another 135 booths at the main exhibition zone in Unicom Stadium to account for the growing demand and set up extended exhibition zone in Guomenwan Hardware City for mechanical and electrical products and building materials. But the recently added booths may still not satisfy the growing demands.
Representatives of famous brands from various industries, including clothing, electronics, food, building materials, mechanical products and agriculture supplies, are all scrambling for booths. Booths for agriculture supplies were booked up one month ago, and mechanical and electrical product booths as well as booths for building materials have also run out.
The promotion work has received support from local government departments. The Dandong Federation of Industry & Commerce has organized enterprises to order over 110 booths, and the number is increasing.
