Twenty five kilometers southwest of the county seat of Qingyuan county, Guangdong province, Qingxin Hot Mineral Spring Resort covers about 5.5 square kilometers of land featuring a hot spring, grass skiing, sport, countryside amusement and accommodation. It is a large holiday resort established with the approval of Guangdong Provincial Government. The resort owns a unique river hot spring. It is China’s first large hot spring resort with a style dominated by oriental gardens and architecture. It covers 48,000 square meters of land and has 68 hot spring pools with different shapes, water temperatures and sizes. The water temperature varies from 30℃ to 60℃. It also has a physical therapy and massage center, Japanese Bento and other service facilities. According to the analysis of the Trace Element Laboratory of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, the hot spring water in the river contains strontium, calcium metasilicate and calcium sulfate, but it doesn’t contain sulfur and is categorized as a calcium sulfate silicate hot spring. The hot mineral spring water may be used as both drinking water and bath water. It is rare in the world.
