With the idea of promoting lifelong learning among locals, authorities in the Juyuan New Area in Jiading district of Shanghai recently announced the opening of its 11th lifelong learning program at an inauguration ceremony, local media reported on Nov 24.
The program will include the promotion of traditional Chinese culture, the exhibition of study achievements and other learning activities, in a bid to improve the program's influence and attract more residents to take part in it.

On the sideline of the ceremony, an exhibition to display locals recent study results was also organized. The exhibits included over 100 paintings, calligraphy works, porcelain paintings and handicrafts, which enabled the residents to show the skills they have learned. The week long exhibition will run until Nov 30.
