4. Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange Corp and China Trust Registration Co open

December 2016 witnessed the opening of the Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange Corp and the China Trust Registration Co. The exchange, a nationwide platform for centralized commercial paper trading, broadens the existing financial infrastructure that serves increasing market demand and will improve regulation of the market. The China Trust Registration Co, which opened on Dec 26, focuses on centralized registration, issuing and trading of trust products as well as supervision of the trust industry.
