Songjiang district recently announced the first batch of green restaurants, aiming to promote the plan that has pledged to build more than 120 green restaurants in the next three years.

Jointly hosted by the district economic committee and the district catering association, the list was made according to three indicators- food safety, low carbon environmental protection and integrity management.

Three restaurants in Sheshan National Tourist Resort were included on the list. They are Dazhong International Conference Hotel, Shanghai Happy Valley Gleetour Hotel and Sheshan Forest Hotel.

Dazhong International Conference Hotel

Dazhong International Conference Hotel is a four-star hotel near Sheshan Mountain featuring a European courtyard style of architecture. It has a mini farm covering 13,000 square meters with a fishpond, and animal breeding and vegetable planting areas. Visitors can feed various kinds of animals and plant vegetables, enjoying the fun of nature here.

The Spanish-style Gleetour Hotel is near the Shanghai Happy Valley and covers over 35,000 square meters and offer 293 guest rooms on four floors. Based on the elegant Islamic-influenced architecture of southern Spain, the hotel offers visitors an authentic experience of Spanish culture, with in-house restaurants serving delicious paella, tapas and fine rioja.

Sheshan Forest Hotel

Shanghai Sheshan Forest Hotel is the only hotel to be built in the mountains in Shanghai, an ideal place to spend holidays. The hotel operates seven buildings, as well as villa rooms, a VIP floor, 93 rooms, 167 beds that include a luxury apartment and standard double rooms.

Visitors can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery of Sheshan here. Restaurants, dance halls, auditorium, saunas, rooms for card games and chess, and tennis courts are also offered. Conference rooms host business and academic research meetings.
