Directors of the management committee and others from the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone recently investigated several enterprises in Beijing and Hebei province, to learn about strategic emerging industries, including general aviation, water science and technology and environment protection, and new energy resources.

The group visited Shijiazhuang Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and CESSNA-AVIC Aircraft (Shijiazhuang) Co., Ltd. in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, and discussed cooperation issues on the general aviation industry. They also called on Meng Wei, from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, to seek advice on Dianchi Lake pollution control, and industrialization and marketization of environment protection. The group also investigated the new energy resources industry in hi-tech zones in Huairou, Beijing, and Baoding, Hebei province.

The investigating group plans to further develop emerging industries in the zone. By doing so, the transformation of economic growth mode and optimization of energy consumption structure can be reached, which lays the foundation for sustainable development in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone.
