A delegation from the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone went to Beijing recently to invite investment. They first met directors of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC and reported on the Zone’s economic and social development. Later, they visited several famous enterprises and groups in Beijing to publicize and promote the Zone.

In Jasmin International Automobile Design Co, the directors of the company and the Zone reached an agreement on the construction of a Jasmin Automobile Pan-Asian R&D Center in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, which will be formally established in October. The Zone will support the R&D center to generalize the new energy automobiles in Yunnan province.

In the Tsinghua Science Park, the two sides had deep discussions on the integration of the academy, research and production, an incubator for new and high technology industries, financial innovations, and young entrepreneur training. The two also talked about building a branch park of Tsinghua in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone in the near future.

In Beijing Xiaomi Technology Co and CapitalBio Co, the delegation gave a brief outline about the Zone’s friendly investment environment and the development situation of the Kunming National Bio-Industrial Base in the Zone and promised that the administrative committee of the Zone would provide the enterprises with superior services. The two companies said that they would keep in close contact with the Zone to find more cooperation opportunities there.
