A delegation from the Bayer China paid a working visit to the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone on Feb 28 to discuss further cooperation.

The German-based pharmaceutical company Bayer completed its 100-percent acquisition of Dihon Pharmaceutical Co within the Zone in November 2014 and their tie-up has given boost to mutual interests.

Li Guofu, the general president of Dihon and of the Bayer HealthCare (Greater China Region), said at the meeting that the Bayer-Dihon collaboration has significantly increased the popularity of Yunnan pharmaceuticals in international arena. The transnational cooperation also sets a good example for other enterprises in the Zone.

Li also said that Bayer and Dihon were going through changes in personnel and an upgrade in technology and equipment. In particular, the “Dihon controlled-release pharmaceutical manufacturing base” is under construction in the Zone. He asked for more support from the Zone to boost the Bayer-Dihon’s further development.

Su Yu, the director of the Party working committee of the Zone agreed with Li’s request. He said that the Zone would provide the enterprise with superior services and best investment environment. He also instructed directors of relevant departments to actively follow up on enterprise’s needs and solve their problems.
