The First China Yan'an Red Cultural Tourism Season started on June 18 and will go on until Oct 31.

Co-sponsored by the Yan'an municipal government and the Shaanxi Tourism Administrative Bureau, the activities aim to promote the red tourism industry and the development of related industries.

Yan'an, a city in northern Shaanxi, was the seat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from 1935 to 1948 and has a large number of sites associated with the revolution.
