Underground water is unsafe

The shallow layer groundwater in China was heavily polluted in recent years from various pollution sources, Beijing News reported.

據(jù)《新京報》報道，近年來，在多種污染源作用下，我國淺層地下水污染嚴(yán)重。

Groundwater quality surveillance was conducted in 200 cities in China in 2011, and 55% of those monitoring spots showed bad or even worse water quality, according to an official survey. In several regions, reports about cancer cases and cattle and sheep's infertility caused by underground water pollution soared.

官方調(diào)查顯示，2011年，全國200個城市開展了地下水質(zhì)監(jiān)測，其中"較差—極差"水質(zhì)監(jiān)測點比例為55%。此前，地下水污染導(dǎo)致癌癥高發(fā)甚至牛羊絕育的報道，在諸多地區(qū)出現(xiàn)。

[污染控制投資不夠]

?China's economy has developed rapidly over recent years, but investment into pollution control has not kept pace. Considering the fast pace of China's economic development, investment into pollution control should account for more than 2% of GDP, according to Wang Canfa, a professor at the China University of Political Science and Law.

中國政法大學(xué)教授王燦發(fā)說，我們國家的經(jīng)濟發(fā)展迅速，但是治理污染的投資卻跟不上。像我們這么快的經(jīng)濟發(fā)展速度，控制污染方面的投入應(yīng)當(dāng)占到GDP的2%以上。
