About the reporter:

Guan Xin graduated with a major in visual communication from Renmin University. Since 2006, she has served as an editor for China Daily’s photo archives.

Guan has participated in covering both the NPC and the CPPCC meetings, China’s top annual political gatherings, between 2007 and 2009. She has also covered events such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, the Sichuan Earthquake as well.

A great deal of her work has appeared in magazines around the country.
