MLS club Orlando City reject 7 mln USD offer for midfielder Mendez

WASHINGTON - Orlando City have rejected a 7-million-US-dollar offer for their midfielder Sebastian Mendez, local media reported on Wednesday.
Local media said that the Ecuadorian midfielder has been linked to LDU Quito of Ecuador, but Orlando has rejected the hefty offer for the 23-year-old midfielder from LDU.
Mendez joined Orlando from Ecuador's Independiente del Valle ahead of the 2019 season and appeared in 23 games for Orlando in 2019. Prior to moving to the MLS, Mendez made 81 appearances across all competitions for Independiente. He also played for Ecuador's national team.
