Once an area of fabric stalls in the 90s, the South Bund Soft Spinning Material Market in Huangpu district now hosts nearly 300 bespoke tailoring shops. Forty percent of its customers are foreigners, contributing 70 percent of its sales. Stitch by stitch, it has become Shanghai's new must-see thanks to bespoke tailoring.
