Born in February of 1980 in Changzhi, Shanxi province, Ma Jie is a vice-principal and a doctoral supervisor of Shanxi University.
Ma has long been engaged in experimental research on ultra-cold atomic and molecular physics and laser spectroscopy.
He has presided over more than 10 national scientific research projects and published more than 100 academic papers in top international journals such as Nature Phys., J. Phys. Chem. Lett., and Opt. Lett. He has also authorized 15 national invention patents.
He teaches undergraduates courses on laser principles and modern physics experiments.
In addition, Ma is in charge of the national first-class undergraduate major development site for physics.
