Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League opens exhibition on Taiwan's recovery in Beijing

BEIJING -- An exhibition organized to commemorate both the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the recovery of Taiwan opened on Thursday in Beijing.
The exhibition was organized by the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, a participating political party on the Chinese mainland.
At the opening ceremony, Jiang Liping, vice-chair of the league's central committee, said that the exhibition showcases the glorious patriotic tradition of Taiwan compatriots and their struggle against Japanese colonial rule.
It features over 300 individual or groups of historical photographs, archival documents and other items.
