Shanghai issues country's first exit and entry permit for destination-free cruises
The nation's first exit and entry permit for destination-free cruises was issued in Shanghai on June 5, marking the countdown to the launch of the highly anticipated weekend cruise trips of Adora Magic City, according to official sources.
Along with the issuance of the permit, Adora Magic City, the nation's first domestically built cruise ship, has been well-prepared for its two-night cruise trip from Shanghai's Wusongkou Cruise Port on June 6. The new route is set to turn the idea of visa-free weekend vacations at sea without taking leave into reality for many residents.
The permit is issued by the Government Affairs of Exit-Entry Administration Corps of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau's service outlet on Minsheng Road in Pudong New Area, which is the result of the National Immigration Administration's innovative institutional reforms.
Without going through complicated visa procedures, passengers can apply for the permit using a regular passport or an ID card, according to the official WeChat account of the Government Affairs of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
